MICROPLASTIC PARTICLES
EVERY YEAR

A lot of them start inside your own home — in the air you breathe and the water you drink. PurePath scans your kitchen, bedroom, and bathroom to help you spot everyday plastic sources and find safer swaps.

SECTION 01 — VISION ENGINE

HOW THE AI SEES YOUR HOME

PurePath's computer vision model flags visual signs of material wear, degradation, and known high-risk materials
that are easy to miss by eye.

SECTION 02 — THE PROTOCOL

THE 3-ROOM PROTOCOL

Contamination doesn't respect rooms. PurePath audits your entire biological
environment.

CULINARY

THE KITCHEN AUDIT

HIGH RISK

Flagging non-stick cookware wear and coating breakdown.

PurePath's visual scan flags surface wear on coated pans, silicone utensils, and plastic cutting boards — helping you catch degradation before it ends up on your plate.

THE BEDROOM AUDIT

CRITICAL RISK

Flagging synthetic materials in mattresses, pillows, and sheets.

You spend 8 hours a night inches from your mattress. PurePath flags synthetic materials — memory foam, synthetic pillow fill, and polyester sheets — associated with VOC off-gassing and fiber shedding.

THE BATHROOM AUDIT

MODERATE RISK

Auditing your bath mat and daily habits — where bathroom exposure actually happens.

Your bath mat sits in constant moisture and takes direct foot contact every day — PurePath scans it to flag polyester pile, rubber, or plastic backing. Combined with what you wash your body with and the toothbrush you use daily, this builds your full Bathroom score.

THE ORIGIN

RAW FOSSIL FUELS

Extracted from petroleum & natural gas

Plastics begin as crude oil or natural gas. Refineries crack these into ethylene and propylene — the chemical building blocks of every synthetic polymer that will eventually touch your food, skin, and lungs.

SECTION 04 — METHODOLOGY

THE SCIENCE OF PUREPATH

Four stages of AI-driven analysis. One goal: material-level clarity
about what surrounds you.

01

VISUAL SCAN CAPTURE

PurePath's camera pipeline captures detailed images of your surfaces, reading cues like sheen, texture, and wear patterns to flag material types and signs of degradation.

02

NEURAL PATTERN RECOGNITION

A computer vision model trained on 2.4 million labeled surface images compares your scan against a library of common household materials — flagging types like non-stick coatings, PVC, and synthetic fibers that are associated with known chemical and microplastic exposure risks.

03

RISK STRATIFICATION

Flagged materials are weighted by exposure research, surface condition, and your usage habits to produce a personalised Risk Score for each item in your environment.

04

SAFE SWAP GENERATION

Results feed directly into PurePath's Safe Swap engine, which generates a ranked, room-by-room replacement plan — prioritising your highest-risk items first and tracking your Purity Score over time.

SECTION 05 — BETA FEEDBACK

WHAT OUR BETA TESTERS SAY

Early feedback from testers trying PurePath in their own
homes ahead of launch.

★★★★★KITCHEN

"I scanned my kitchen and my old non-stick pans came back flagged as high-risk. It gave me a clear list of what to swap first instead of feeling like I had to throw everything out at once."

ML
Mara L.Beta tester · San Francisco, CA
★★★★★BEDROOM

"I pay attention to this stuff, and PurePath still surfaced things I hadn't thought about — like the synthetic materials in my mattress and pillows. The room-by-room breakdown made it easy to prioritize."

JW
James W.Beta tester · Austin, TX
★★★★★WHOLE HOME

"The swap suggestions were practical, not overwhelming — step by step, room by room. It felt less like being scared and more like having a plan I could actually work through."

PS
Priya S.Beta tester · London, UK
★★★★★EASE OF USE

"I went in skeptical about how useful a phone scan could be, but the interface is genuinely nice and the results are easy to understand. Being able to point my camera at something and get a plain-English read is the whole appeal."

RK
Rian K.Beta tester · Berlin, DE
★★★★★EVERYDAY USE

"The scans are fast and the risk breakdowns are clear enough that I could explain them to my kids — who now ask whether the cutting board is 'PurePath approved.'"

SECTION 06 — WHY WE BUILT THIS

OUR ORIGIN STORY

PurePath didn't start in a lab. It started with a podcast and a test kit.

Like a lot of people, we heard Dr. Shanna Swan — the environmental epidemiologist behind Count Down — break down the research on microplastics and endocrine-disrupting chemicals on The Joe Rogan Experience (episode #2476). The takeaway was hard to ignore: these materials are in our homes, our food, and increasingly, our bodies.

So one of us ordered an at-home microplastics test — and the result was a wake-up call. It raised the obvious question: if it's showing up in me, where in my home is it actually coming from?

There was no simple way to answer that. So we started building one. PurePath is our attempt to turn that anxiety into something practical — a way to look at the everyday objects around you, understand the material risks, and make better swaps at your own pace.
