FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Questions, answered.
Everything you need to know before your first PurePath home scan.
What is PurePath?
PurePath is a camera-based home exposure scanner that helps you identify materials, visible wear and household items that may contribute to potential microplastic exposure. It then helps you prioritize what to change first.
How does a PurePath scan work?
PurePath guides you through photo scans of key items in your home. Its AI analyzes visible materials, surface condition and wear patterns, then combines that information with your answers to generate personalized exposure insights.
What areas of my home does PurePath scan?
The guided home scan focuses on three key exposure zones: your kitchen, bedding and bathroom. PurePath looks at the materials and condition of the items you use most in those areas.
How much does PurePath cost?
PurePath offers a Single Home Scan for $4.99, which includes one scan only. The monthly plan is $9.99/month and the yearly plan is $89.99/year. Monthly and yearly memberships include ongoing access to re-scan and track changes over time.
Does PurePath actually measure microplastics?
No. PurePath does not physically measure microplastic particles in your body or home. It estimates relative exposure potential using detected materials, visible condition, wear patterns and information you provide.
How is my exposure score determined?
Your score is based on the materials PurePath identifies, their visible condition and wear, the area of the home where they are used, and relevant information you provide during the scan. The score is designed to help you compare and prioritize potential exposure sources.
What do I get after my scan?
You receive an exposure score, room-by-room insights, your highest-priority exposure sources and personalized lower-exposure swaps so you can focus on the changes that may matter most.
Can I track changes after I make swaps?
Yes. Monthly and yearly PurePath members can re-scan their home after making changes and compare their updated results over time. The $4.99 Single Home Scan includes one scan only and does not include re-scans.
Is PurePath a medical test or medical advice?
No. PurePath is an informational home exposure tool. It does not diagnose, treat or prevent medical conditions and should not be used as a substitute for professional medical advice or laboratory testing.
Do I need any special equipment?
No special testing equipment is required. PurePath uses guided photo scans from your phone camera together with your responses to analyze your home environment.
